There are 2 very important things that you absolutely need if you want to be successful at losing weight. Well, really these apply to anything in life, though I’m talking about weight loss here).

Results come from engaging in the right behaviors day after day after day (after day). The reason many people fall short is because they stop doing these things. It’s really as simple as that.

You need to consistently be mindful of your eating.
You need to consistently eat balanced meals in reasonable portions.
You need to consistently be prepared.
You need to consistently make physical activity a priority.
You need to consistently manage your stress.
You need to consistently prioritize sleep.
You need to consistently show up.

Even when you’re tired.

Even when you’re sad.

Even when you’re celebrating

Even when you’re frustrated.

Even when it’s the weekend.

Even when you’re on vacation.

Even when you don’t want to.
End of story.

You need to be realistic with what to expect.

You need to know that you cannot control outcomes, only your behaviors.

You need to be kind to yourself as you build new habits.

You need to believe that you can do this and not sell yourself short.

You need to strive for progress, just a little bit, day after day.

You need to know that results will not be linear.

You need to understand that results will take time.

You need to trust that that actions you are taking and the habits you are building are benefitting you not just now, but for the rest of your life.

With these 2 things, you will be successful. Just. Don’t. Give. Up.

Both of these things are easier with outside support and accountability. You can get that in my free Facebook community: Live Diet-Free!
