Have you ever looked at an old photo of yourself and thought, “I wish I still looked like that”?
I caught myself feeling that way while scrolling through the 20,000 pictures on my phone.
Here are the reminders I’ve been giving myself:
Photos don’t tell the full story. Lighting, angles, and timing can paint a misleading picture of reality.
Context matters. Life phases come with different circumstances. Maybe you were more active or less stressed back then.
You’re not unbiased. We’re often our harshest critics, seeing flaws no one else notices.
It’s okay to look different at different points in life. What’s most important is focusing on how you feel now and what works for you in this season.
If you’ve ever struggled with self-comparison, I hope this episode helps you shift toward a little more self-kindness.
