Meet Melinda: Think turning 50 (or 40!) means having to accept you’ll just never again be happy with how your body looks and feels?
Think again. Melinda is 57 and currently maintaining a lower weight & body fat than she’s seen in decades, plus an incredibly impressive VO2max that confirms she is actually the athlete she’s always identified as.
Melinda shares with us her love for all things active but admits that she never really had a foundation of nutrition to support her active lifestyle. She knew she needed the proper nutrition to support her goals but found herself in a diet cycle that never felt sustainable.
Enter Foundations.
After joining Foundations, Melinda was able to shake the hold that the number on the scale had on her and focus on understanding how she needed to fuel her body to sustain the exercise routine she loves.
She says, “I was hungry, and I wasn’t eating enough protein. I mean, it’s as simple as that. So just the awareness of understanding how much protein you need, I just had zero clue. I mean, none. And so what I realized about these diets that I would go on, is you’re eating this list of foods, but you don’t really understand why you don’t really understand how it works.”
After finishing Foundations, Melinda decided to join The Club where she continues to receive the support she needs to remain on her journey to a happy, healthy, and sustainable lifestyle while in maintenance.
