You might think it’s just you, but literally ALL of us have experienced the disappointment of feeling like we’re working really hard toward our goals…only to have the scale suggest otherwise. Today, I’m teaching you how to not get discouraged when you’re not seeing results as quickly as you’d like.
I know sometimes it feels like you’re the only one struggling, that it’s so much easier for everyone else, but I let me tell you – I have seen exactly zero clients in the course of my 16-year career who have not experienced discouragement and frustration. It’s just an inevitability.
And that doesn’t have to be a problem. The real issue is not with how quickly you’re seeing the results you want, it’s what you’re telling yourself that means.
What you are likely making it mean is that it’s not worth it. It’s not working. You’re not going to be successful. You might as well give up.
And here’s the tough love: Giving up or taking a break is not going to get you results any faster.
Now, you might not even be aware of those thoughts.
But when you start to notice them, you see that you can choose what thoughts to focus on. Belief is a choice.
You can choose to believe that what you’re doing is working. Your success is inevitable. You are here for as long as it takes because you are committed to your health, your happiness and your worthiness. Your process is unfolding exactly as it needs to.
If you choose to believe that what you are doing is working and remind yourself not to let your brain spin out, you can get through these periods of frustration and discouragement more quickly and intact.
Whether you’re in your first couple weeks of trying to lose weight, are solidly in the “grind”, or are in the home stretch, this episode is full of important reminders of how and why to stay the course even when your results aren’t coming as quickly as you’d like.
